After a brief hiatus, the Panera Bread co-founders, Ben and Emma Siegel, have returned to TV.
With the show, they are bringing back the ‘world is not a TV show’ concept they pioneered for their beloved franchise.
The new series, which premieres on Thursday, August 9, will be hosted by the two Panera bread founders.
The series follows the duo as they explore their brand, starting with a journey into the lives of its founding trio.
The duo’s journey is a return to the life and times of the two founders.
They will be joined by a host of former Panera employees who will share their stories of the brand, from its inception in 1999, to the current day.
Panera Bread will also include a host in the making: the former president of Panera, John Mackey.
He will also help guide the duo through their first year of production.
‘The World is Not a Television Show’ is being produced by Panera’s sister company, Mondelez International.
Mondelezer will also be producing ‘The Great American Bake Off,’ which airs on CBS this summer.
Siegel and Siegel have said they were inspired by the success of the show ‘The Americans.’
‘It is about living in the moment and what it means to live and thrive on this planet, which has been ravaged by climate change,’ the duo told The Hollywood Reporter.
‘We’re excited to bring the world’s most popular breakfast brand back to life.’
